Description
Responsibilities:
Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them in finding products or items they are looking for.
Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using cash registers or point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Accept cash, credit card, or other forms of payment from customers and provide change or receipts as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including replenishing supplies such as bags and receipt paper.
Answer customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, and store policies in a courteous and helpful manner.
Assist customers in locating merchandise and offering product recommendations based on their needs and preferences.
Up-sell and cross-sell products or promotional items to maximize sales opportunities.
Monitor and manage inventory levels by restocking shelves and recording merchandise returns or exchanges.
Follow proper cash handling procedures and reconcile cash register drawers at the end of each shift.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve sales targets.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience as a cashier, salesperson, or in retail/customer service role is preferred but not required.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong numerical aptitude and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions and maintaining records.
Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Fluency in English is required.
